How far is the beach, and what is there to do beyond the resort?
The nearest beach is Progreso on the Gulf of Mexico, about 30–45 minutes' drive from Mérida. Celestún, known for its flamingo tours, is just over an hour away. From November to February, cold fronts called nortes can bring rough seas that cancel beach days. Mérida is about 25 minutes from the resort, and Uxmal is roughly an hour to an hour and a quarter from Mérida by car.
What should I know about arrival, check-in and bringing a pet?
Check-in is from 3:00 PM, the front desk is staffed 24/7, and check-out is by noon. Mérida International Airport (MID) is about 38–45 minutes away by car. The hotel can arrange an airport transfer for a surcharge if you contact it 72 hours before arrival. The main guest must be at least 18 and show a photo ID and credit card at check-in.
